"Time is the Mercy of Eternity"

                                                  --from poems by Kenneth Rexroth,
                                                     Tennyson and Longfellow

If they're lucky, everyone has lost
or will lose their parents. Dying
in the order in which we were born, more or less, is
one of the blessings life can offer.

Another, it is said, is work
which is the play of adults. Search
the Internet, any town or highway
and men and women are going at it, Monday to Friday.

Beauty is best found in Nature, whether
up your lady's legs or Tora Bora.
Deep crevices and an abyss, vastness, thundering cataract of Death,
Time is the Mercy of Eternity.
